Hannen and Associates was started in 1982 with 3 employees as a general search firm. Our original practice focused on smaller, regional banks and performing lower level exempt searches. As our clients grew through acquisition activity so did our firm-as well as the level and number of positions we were hired to fill. Eventually, we began to provide both search and consulting services to a few Top 20 financial institutions. As our success grew we were selected by one of these banks, legacy Wachovia, to become their internal search division, an experimental endeavor at the time. From there, we have partnered with our client's Human Resource Managers to forge relationships at all levels of their bank. By integrating our firm into the search process from the beginning, we have built a track record unparalleled in the industry. With several large banks, our firm has successfully filled over 300+ positions with each one of these companies. More impressive is that most of the candidates are still in productive roles at those clients. While most search firms work with many clients, we have purposely kept our client base low. This is a design by purpose. This allows our entire firm to recruit at all levels for the same institution and to understand what types of candidates fit not only technically, but also culturally. Our practice includes both contingency and retained features. The types of searches we specialize in includes all positions that would be found in a typical Top 20 Financial Institution.
